love the mist it really helps keep my nose from drying out. It's quiet, you will never hear any noise. The light on the side is fine. Options: 1. full, a little bright to try to sleep, 2. it's a combination of bright and dim light alternating back and forth. I think even that is too much light, I just want it at a low level. The last option is the red glow, which I sometimes use, otherwise it just lets you know it's on. Still, for the price, I'm happy with the moisture.
