The pin is not very high quality, cheaply made but looks nice and adds character and style. The back of both the black design and the crystal is pin style, which isn't my preference but works well. The chains are pretty flimsy and will likely break if even slightly snagged on things, but add for a nice touch. They come in a cute box which makes them more gift worthy, but the boxes (I've ordered a few needles from this company) aren't always well constructed. When they are, it looks a little classier, and when they aren't, it looks cheap. In the box, the needle is packed in a small plastic bag with a zipper. It seems cheap to me when the jewelry comes in a plastic bag. While the packaging doesn't prevent the pin from slipping around in the box, which unfortunately causes such pins with chains to become tangled, it wasn't difficult to untangle.
