I have a Garmin Smartdrive 65, Garmin's heaviest model, and I was a little unsure how well it would work. I used the disc that came with Garmin and it stuck well to the disc on my Camry's dashboard, but the disc adhesive didn't work. So I tried temporarily mounting this directly to the dashboard in direct sunlight until I found a better solution. That was six months ago and it has stayed in direct sunlight despite the hot summer months. Yes, I mean the textured faux leather stayed on the dash and didn't fall off! That was the last thing I expected. It's not that easy to remove, but that's the whole point. This is without a doubt the safest suction cup device I have ever used and I have a drawer at home with 8 or 9 of these from previous devices that didn't work well. I was amazed by this device. I very rarely give 5 stars because to me 3 stars should be where an average device performs and if it does what it says on the tin but no more then it should get a 3. This device exceeded my wildest expectations.
