The metal brackets on the side are too wide to fit the car's 12v socket. I tried several ports on two different cars. I called and was offered a replacement but had to use it the next day. The man said he had received several calls about brackets being too wide and suggested buyers use pliers to make them smaller. As I did so, he entered the port.
