Review on Optimize Your Electrical System with the Four Seasons 36017 Standard Relay by Tim Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fixed overheating issue for 2001 Honda CR-V.

2001 Honda CR-V started to overheat, after troubleshooting it was discovered that when the A/C was running the cooling fans ran but when the A/C wasn't running the radiator fans didn't work. t When switched on, the motor heats up almost to the point of overheating. At first I thought it was the thermostat, but the mechanic told me that he thought the thermostat was probably working, otherwise I would have noticed problems with the lack of coolant circulation. He suggested replacing the relay. Tried to check with the dealer parts department and was offered $34.95 plus tax. Found this Four Seasons 36017 equivalent from Revain and thought the game was worth $6.99. Once I had this relay, I pulled out the old one and installed the new one. I started the engine and accelerated until the temperature gauge read operating temperature. This time I noticed the radiator fans would kick in and keep the engine at the right temperature. Thanks, that little detail saved me a lot of repairs.
