Changed my original rating to 3 stars. That's a great idea. However, the technology is not worth 4 stars. comes with 3 stars. Adding to my other comments, the algorithm used to determine the cooking times for eggs and toast could be improved. Currently the toast is ready too early, before the eggs. So when the eggs are ready, the toast is already cold. I love this item but it doesn't deserve 4 or 5 stars. I've had it for almost a month and have used it about 15 times. So far, so good. I used to have a Back to Basics toaster which I believe is based on it. The focus group is back to basics and West Bend is one of them. I had my previous device for over ten years and used it several times a week. Hope the device lasts as long. Conclusion: They are ideal for a quick and delicious breakfast. Some people have reported device crashes, but mine is working fine after a month of heavy use. I would give 5 stars except for the following. West Bend if you're listening .1. The measuring cup you use to add the right amount of water to boil eggs is extremely difficult to read. It was the same with the b2basics model. And a little water goes a long way, whether your eggs are hard or runny. Second, I have fairly large XXL hands with gloves on. I have a hard time putting a small egg cup in the steamer without spilling the egg whites. Egg whites that get into a chrome steamer burn and are difficult to clean. I would style this differently so it's not that hard to keep a small egg tray "flat" and not spill. I always use some oil in the eggshell, but the boiled egg is still difficult to separate and peel. Keep working on a good nonstick coating. 3. When removing the clear plastic lid from the boiled eggs, be careful, I burned myself from the steam a few minutes ago. I would add an easy detachable handle for the clear plastic lid so you can keep your fingers away from the escaping vapor. Overall, I love being able to get a good breakfast quickly. I hope it lasts as long as my B2Basics model.
