My son uses headphones with his Kindle Fire about once a year. This is our last purchase and so far I'm really liking it. First, they are foldable, which makes them easy to pack. No "noise loss". I'm speaking next to him on the fly and you can't hear anything about the movie he was watching. The cord is made of woven material and only connects on one side, so it won't tangle or tangle. He likes the red and black color combo, which looks cool and doesn't look too "little kid". I tried them on and the volume was just right for children's ears. We are very happy with this purchase. Update: Fits my son's shape. They lasted a year. He broke them today but I liked them so much I bought the same ones to replace.
