For $1 more you get 2 splitters instead of 1.1) I bought this product because the picture clearly showed what I wanted. Split my phone jack into 2 for phone and fax. 2) Being electronics they either work or they don't, so I figured getting 2 for the price of 1 gives me a safety backup without having to go through returns and the like. 3) I bought this product to replace another splitter that didn't have a short phone cord but had a solid piece of plastic that when trying to plug it into my cord box didn't fit because it was too tight to fit a another cable and ethernet cable are connected next to it. 4) When I finally received the package and took them out of the little plastic bag I found that the splitters are of a very solid plastic construction and when I plugged in the cables there was a very nice snug fit and a loud click that indicating that you are ready to go. In conclusion, the splinter is behind the furniture and I'm pretty sure I'll never have to go back there. I'm also confident that the snug fit will prevent cable wiggle and therefore a reliable signal connection to my phone and fax machine for years to come. Highly recommended!
