As a newbie to woodworking, one of the woodworkers I watch on YouTube suggested buying an inexpensive set of bits to get a good idea of what's available, rather than buying one at a time, until you narrow down which ones you need the most. When I saw that they were already packed in a wooden box, WITH a diagram of what the cut of each piece would look like, I thought it would be good. After seeing the little wooden box I like to keep everything organized in, I wanted to take a look at the cutting machines; When I tried to open the box, the hinges didn't work. they are both wrong. No matter how you press the unlock buttons, they won't open. The only good thing was that you only have to pull off the small piece that should be the latch with one finger. I will replace the hinges. it doesn't matter much. But the hinges are absolutely crappy and unusable! It would actually be better if the manufacturer didn't put the hinges in the packaging because those of us who care about the environment hate it when that crap ends up in a landfill! Right now I'm praying the cutting knives inside are of better quality than the stupid hinges on the box. If not, they can be at best a deterrent to those learning to use their new router, and at worst downright dangerous!
