This is a basic bit set for most woodworking needs. There is a window in the box so you can see if anything is missing and put it away for storage. They cut very well and stay sharp.

Not bad, but not great either. They make a good cut until they break. I've already snapped two on the shaft and don't feel like I'm asking too much of them. I used a straight ¼" in one on my desk, only about ¼" removed and fed in rather slowly when it decided to cut and my project paused. The set has good range, but they just don't last.

This is a great set for beginners. The images of each section are very helpful, especially for those who are just starting to own/use a router. I've had to sharpen one or two as I use them more than the others but I have no complaints they cut a lot of different hardwoods with ease and I can see myself using this set for many years to come.

Was looking for a matching set of 1/4" shank bits. Should have known better! A few tails were rusty before I took them out of the box .comments on this product, I will most likely just pass them on to a neighbor who doesn't use bits very often.I've always bought Freud, but I've only needed the occasional 1/4" to put it on an old portable sign port wire router use. I WILL NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE.

I have never used a router before. So I bought this set to try them out. At first they all seemed great until I needed a cutter (which is not included in this set). I bought one off the shelf at Lowes and it was quite expensive. However, when I first used it, I noticed one big difference in the cut: it was smooth, really smooth. Nothing compares to the cuts I've made with any of the bits in this set. The moral of the story is: buy what you need :)

Great bit set, I have routed several tables, tables and wooden legs with bevels and curves and they seem to do a great job to work on several different softer woods, such as z like pine and mahogany. I was gifted a 1/2" bit set but my Ryobi Palm router uses 1/4" so I found my way to this product. I have no regrets buying this, if this is your first palm router this would be a great kit to go with. (PS What it comes with is AMAZING! Very stylish considering the price.)

I forgot my kits in a different condition, we urgently need replacements. Revain showed up the next day which is amazing in these times of Covid. The product is great as long as you live up to your expectations. The bits seem solid and I used 5 of them on my project, the paint has chipped a bit on one but these are minor things. As for bread, great choice, when (and I have nothing to say that) the tops start to break I will replace them with stronger ones and I will be happy that they have come

Pros: packaging looks nice, lots of options for 1/4" collets, probably all ok for the price if you've never used anything else 1/4" premium carbide, and the difference was like night and day! other projects before trying KOWOOD. Of course, Whiteside costs almost half as much as the entire KOWOOD set, so you get what you pay for.

I have not used the product yet. But after some research I decided this article was the best bang for buck. I also found the Kowood brand to be the preferred brand - not the best, but definitely one of the best brands. For the beginner, it has the most used and essential bits. Cheap sets with even more bits are not the best buy. Low quality beats can cause a lot of frustration even for a beginner. It's good to have a quality set. So far I've used 3 bits. The 1/8" cartridge worked as expected, although I haven't used it since my first small test piece. The 1/4" round head cleans up after 26 uses to make rough cuts flush with the template. Eventually the pilot drill dulled immediately after the first cut, leaving burn marks with each additional cut.
