Smooth, beautiful and effective for drawing and easy to use. However, if I pay over $1,000 for a laptop, it should last 2+ years. I bought my SP4 in the summer of 2017. By early 2019 at the latest I was having trouble overheating it to freezing point. page over another page. (It looks like the opacity is at 50%, so you can still see what's underneath.) Another symptom might be a flickering reddish or white vignette at the edges of the screen 1-2 inches away. These phenomena also occur without light. use. (like google docs, youtube and reading.) I don't know why this is happening. There is nothing around the laptop. I even removed the lid to let it breathe better but nothing works. Oh yeah, and random little horizontal stripes flicker across the screen. I took it out of the house maybe 2 times. I never gave up. I treated this thing like a kid and kept it safe, but it started having these issues after 2.5 years with no issues. All I know is that I've seen the same overheating and flickering issues on countless forums. If you need a reliable laptop for school or work, I recommend putting your money elsewhere. I had the opportunity to rent a Fujitsu laptop and I really enjoyed it. I've also heard good things about Asus and Acer products. Good luck on your tablet/laptop hunt! (I bought i5, 8GB)
