Update - I am very disappointed that these LEDs appear to have burned out in less than 2 years. I expected them to last a lot longer than the 3 year halogen bulbs but these LEDs didn't last and I paid more for the LEDs. Also, the pain of changing bulbs is a problem. I wish they had a guarantee, that would at least offset the hassle of getting a replacement. I will look around for better quality and with a guarantee for the next set. When purchasing replacement LED bulbs, you must consider how the non-point source LED light will mix with the optics of your car. A typical H8 or H11 bulb has a black tip to prevent light from getting there, and the filament is a thin strip down the center of the bulb. These replacements reflect that with 3 thin LEDs in a row mounted either side of the board in the center of the bulb to mimic a halogen bulb source and it works! I was concerned that the light only shines from two sides and not from all sides like a halogen bulb, but then I saw that Philips did the same and showed that it worked very well. Their design is just right for car optics. Reflector to properly reflect the light. The fog lights were perfectly formed and corresponded in shape and brightness to the original halogens in my side comparison (one of the original and 1 LED at the same time). Now I find her perfect. Hope they last as long as advertised. Can't wait to see how they look at night as I just tested them in my dark garage. First I tried Cougar Motor LEDs of the same configuration (H8). Despite being 60W incandescent bulbs compared to 35W standard halogen bulbs, they didn't emit any real light. Instead, they only shone around the apartment and very little on the street. They looked decorative, but fog lights are badly needed in these parts of the forest. I sent them back after parallel tests came out with nothing but a small amount of light and no visible shape consistent with the originals giving a good line of light on the road ahead. Cougars have 4 LEDs that shine straight from the base, while the typical H8 bulb has a black base. All of that light is lost and actually blocked by a piece inside the fog light housing. The Cougar's other LEDs were on the 4 sides of the bulb, but they were far from the center of the bulb, and the fog light's reflector didn't catch that light properly either. Consider this a lesson learned so you can choose the correct shape/configuration of the LED and not have to send the bulbs back.
