Review on Pearl Izumi Women's Escape Quest Cycling Shorts by Suhas Carney

Not impressed good for cycling

First off, I'm 5ft 2in and about 165 pounds. I have a smaller/flat butt for my height and thicker thighs. I bought size XL. Pros: I love the way they look on my stomach because I HATE low rise pants or shorts. They curl up a bit when I ride, but I discredit my body for it. The material is smooth and smooth. Good padding in the buttocks. Cons: These are the reasons I docked the stars. Ad 1) The padding in the groin/crotch area leaves a lot to be desired and leaves me very sore even after only 10-15 miles. Plenty of padding in the butt, but the So as we sit on the seat I need more to avoid perineal pain. This was very disappointing as I spent $50 on them and I have cheaper pairs that make me feel less sore at this distance. 2) The length is long. They're up to my knees. A bit long for my taste, especially in over 80 degree weather. I like that it protects me more from the sun and the dirt it throws out, but I wish they were an inch or two shorter. And I'm small, maybe that's my problem. The bottom hem is now also very tight around my knees. They have non-slip grips, but they are so loose that the grip doesn't make good contact with my skin the entire circumference. Overall, given the price and the brand, I expected better design and quality. These aren't BAD pants so I've only deducted 2 stars but they definitely don't exceed my expectations at this price point.
