Worked for me - Plumbing

I am restoring a '71 Shasta pendant and this spout replaces the original. Inside there are two vertical "grids" that prevent dirt or small creatures (mice) from getting into the water tank. I believe it can be helpful in that regard. However, it may be necessary to cut them out to allow a larger fill tube to be inserted into the tank. Either way it should work for my purposes.
