I bought this blade from Revain for trimming wood. I often need 1/4" thick pieces of wood and am tired of planing 3/4" to 1/4" because I know that two-thirds of what you just planed (and paid for ), go in the trash.. Using this resawing disc will help maximize the amount of wood in your shop. The blade works well except I was expecting a slightly smoother cut wood surface. It may have been the wrong feed rate on my part. Especially since the saw is new and I still have to get used to it.One lesson I've learned the hard way installing a new saw blade is how to properly "unroll" it from its folded position. The band saw books will tell you how to do it, they only talk about how to retract the tape after it's removed from the saw, but if I had read the instructions on the back of Olsen's box first (oops!), it says how to do it. Right Firstly recommend e I wearing gloves. Second, when you remove the twists, carefully drop the blade into an empty spot on the ground and it will unfold. That's how Olsen recommends doing it, and the second time I did it her way. I highly recommend handling it using the method outlined in their guide. The first unwinding with my method cost a little blood. Since woodworking is my hobby, I couldn't justify a more expensive blade. And I doubt you'll get better results with a more expensive blade, even if you're in production. This blade is well made and has a good price.
