So, in general, the product worked. There were enough 3M adhesive pads in the kit to place them on all the magnets, but in my case it wasn't necessary. A magnet is broken. The shards from the broken magnet still work, but they can't be put back together as they shattered into about 7 sharp shards. My finger ran over one of the magnets as I tried to pick it up and it was sharp enough to cut my finger. In this case the package was a ribbed styrofoam block with a hole in the middle and a line cut in one side. with a loose fitting hard foam plug to hold the magnets in the block which was then placed in a cardboard box. Rigid foam is a type of packaging foam that breaks under stress, leaving small pieces of foam from the fragments. I found this packaging unusual because it creates a less than secure seal around the sides of the magnets and their top, which allows the magnets to move within the foam and box. All other neodymium magnets I've bought in the past have come in either clamshell plastic or softer soft foam with removable end caps so the magnets snap into the foam with very little movement unlike this hard foam product. This product would have been rated 5 stars if all parts were intact. It is not worth spending money on repacking and sending the goods back as it would be a waste.
