I have read reviews of similar products and see people complaining that the cutting wire is breaking or weak. Well, use it properly and it's fine. It cuts soft cheese easily but hard cheese cuts slowly, let the wire go through the cheese, don't just smack the handle and expect it to cut like a hot knife through butter, it doesn't. I am very happy with this purchase and the extra wires conveniently taped to the bottom should you manage to break one.
