Review on ☕ KONA Black Shell French Press Coffee Maker - Stainless Steel Filter, Large Handle & Glass Protection by Stacy Sturm

We bought this coffee maker for off grid and camping use. Makes a decent, albeit small, portion of coffee. We've used it less than 10 times when I noticed a crack in the glass and fine glass powder on the metal shade. I even cut my finger on broken glass. We researched many different coffee makers prior to our purchase and settled on these based on the positive reviews and the fact that they provided a backup of their product and seemed to offer a replacement if something broke. NOT CORRECT! I called customer service and "Jason" said I could buy a replacement glass carafe and strainer for $20! Almost the price of a new press! If I knew they stood behind their product like that, I would never have bought this product. Your product must not break after less than 10 uses, and if it does, you must offer a replacement. I've even read reviews here on Amazon where people have suggested replacements but not me for some reason. Do not buy this coffee maker if you need something permanent, the glass will break and you will be stuck with a dangerous broken POS not backed by terrible customer service. 1 star for customer service and 3 stars for press the few times I've actually had to use.
