This is probably not for a backyard mechanic, not because of the tool or the ease of use of the tool, but because of the difficult task of replacing a wheel bearing on a car. I have a repair shop and after using it I kick myself for not buying it 10 years ago. It worked flawlessly and is relatively simple in context. Pressing in bearings can be difficult and requires a fairly powerful hydraulic press. I would even say that this tool made the job easier than a press, even without considering the possibility of leaving the steering knuckle in the car!
