Review on πŸš— Magellan RoadMate 1700 Extended Mount: Enhance Your GPS Experience by Christine Rowe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great solution.: Car mounts

I've used all types of GPS mounts made under the sun, bean bags, vent mounts etc. I've always wanted a mount that will house the GPS the dashboards on my Toyota Corolla. I bought a Magellan 5045 5" GPS and this mount. At first I tried using this mount by sucking on a rattle on the dashboard, but the friction wasn't enough and it kept slipping under acceleration. Then I did I used the supplied plastic disc with the GPS and attached it to the dash, problem solved although I really didn't want anything sticking to the dash I have an extended bracket angled down from the dash that holds the GPS to the right of the radio. This improves the visibility of the screen is better in the sun than on the dashboard and my roadworthiness is better when the GPS isn't blocking part of the view of the windshield Attaching and removing the GPS to the mount is as easy as can be Slide the GPS up and it will appear. Remove the mount, slide down to release it to install on the mount. The mount itself can be adjusted as you like, and when all the adjustments are tight, it's rock solid. left with Magellan 1700 holder 7" and holder for 5" 5040 G PS, so at least it fits both, can't comment on other Magellan GPS models. For me, I finally found a GPS mount that meets all my needs and improves driving safety. I highly recommend.
