I bought this "short" cable to clean my truck's center console. I use an old iPod as the music source in my truck and have been using the original Apple USB to Lightning cable for two years. It's a 3 foot cable that wraps completely around the iPod and one afternoon as I was rummaging through my center console I thought it would of course be nice to have a shorter cable to reduce that clutter, that i have I bought this cable hoping to make life "better" but it didn't happen. The cable is VERY stiff at the ends and doesn't like to kink. This presents a problem as the ends of the cable will not bend or bend enough for me to connect and fit an iPod into the console. I tried bending the ends by hand (so as not to damage my truck's USB connector or the Lightning connector on my iPod), but that didn't happen. These can be great cables for those who don't care if they're as tough as a board. For me they go in the parts box as backups but they cannot be used for their intended purpose making this a 2 star purchase for value for money.
