The rack you mount it on has to be fit for the task

I bought 3 of these bags for everyday use. My wife uses a 5 days a week to commute to work on her bike and whenever we ride our bikes to the store. I use it almost every day for my needs and to maintain my computer for work. The third bag was bought for me as a duffel bag. I didn't want my sandwiches and electronics so close to me, sweaty shirts and a wet towel. But the third bag was damaged when I received it. It looked like it had been used, abused and then returned; Due to tire rub and a broken clip holding one of the shoulder straps and also pivoting on the strap preventing the bottom of the bag from swinging. a way to fix a broken clip. I told them I didn't mind bruises because I would use a rain bag, maybe some snow and lots of glitter. It took a while for half the world to report an issue between us and some things got lost in translation (they replied in English but obviously translated). After a few polite emails back and forth and a few photos they said they would send a new bag and I could keep the old bag to fix or give away. It's been a long time since I've had a good customer service history. . Today when my new bag arrived I have it. The other two were caught in the rain and heavily laden more than once. The bag I use also got a decent scratch when I hit a pothole that twisted my tire. The bag stayed safe even when I didn't. The bar clamps are made of metal, while most are made of composite materials of various types. The mechanism that holds the clamps firmly against your rack is simple but effective. More efficient than my previous bungee setup. The big ones may seem small but swallow my wife's water bottle, lunch (strategically packed) and her purse (holder for everything). The pockets appear to be waterproof (I haven't put on my raincoat yet). The helmet holder is handy for storing everything and as a duffel, the extra bungee is a nice sneaker holder (or holds my wife's good work shoes). 2 stretchable side pockets offer space for a 1 liter bottle of Nalgene or a large glass. I even put in a liter bottle of juice without any problems. Since I have a small bike rack, short chain, and big feet, I only fit small bottles, coffee mugs, or an umbrella in the front stretch pocket. My wife enters what fits. I was surprised at how much I like these bags as they were significantly cheaper than some of the other models. I can't wait to try them on my touring bike in the coming days.
