Shipping costs do not match shipping costs

I have ordered a new one. The shipping cost was $11.00 making the total $61.00. Ooouch! Received on time and intact in the USPS shipping carton. (In the mailbox on the street, not on the door!) Nothing else was there, no CD, no instructions, except for the packing list. At least I was expecting a cable or two for this price. I already downloaded the driver from the Seagate website, otherwise I wouldn't have thought to order it. I strongly recommend you do the same for every adapter you decide to buy. The driver file is easy to find. Worked reasonably well on a Tyan Trinity 400 board. Windows 2000 SP4 recognized the card and installed the driver with no problems. I've only tried one of a few Western Digital 320GB drives I have and it was recognized. I didn't do any additional tests like partitioning, formatting or trying to set up RAID (I think you can set up RAID using the card's BIOS). For the price it's a bargain. Shipping was too expensive for something so small. I recommend getting it elsewhere if you can. Chip on card manufactured by Promise. Instead, you should consider getting their card. Search for "Promise Ultra133 TX2". I found a few potential customers through a web search and Promise has drivers on their website.

Cons
