I never thought that furniture polish would ruin finished wooden furniture. Boy was I wrong! I've used a lemon scented furniture polish spray in the past and it smears and builds up. That's how I dusted our wooden furniture for years. Our local fine furniture store recommends using a cream polish so I finally decided to give it a try when we recently bought a dining set. I studied and chose the Guardsman. It's a pleasure to use and the result is instant and permanent! I know it smells like the forest, but I can only detect a faint, neutral odor. Many flavored foods give me a headache, but not this one. Now back to the results: I applied it with one hand in an old cotton sock and then buffed with an old washcloth. Light. The wood shines with a rich shine. It was so beautiful that I went around the house and polished all the wooden furniture!
