Used to work with cake sugar and owned for 1 year

Worked great for my melting sugar to decorate my cake. I used it to heat a pan to a temperature that I knew was flexible but didn't melt too much after working with the sugar for a while. I don't know if the temperature was there, but it was constant when I used it. We tested it at home and found it to be about the average setting on my thermostat. It's light so maybe it can break if you're rough or drop it hard enough, but I dropped it while I was awake making a cake and it didn't break. Maybe lucky, maybe he's more stable. I hope for the last with my family. ***UPDATE**** It's been almost a year now and my kids play with this thing more than their own toys. Still works. He was dropped off and picked up. I still don't know if the temperature is really quite right, but it's constant, so if you know how you're in the 220° range when working with sugar, or whatever you're using, you can visually see the consistency see and work with. and then repeat it to see which temperature is your preferred temperature. Then you can warm up, warm up, and warm up again to the temperature you found, and it will be the same every time. My kids are 3 and 6 years old so they're not the most careful with things either. If this one ever breaks or stops working, I have no problem buying the exact same product again.
