***************** UPDATED REVIEW ***************** * ** **** I wear these headphones for at least a few hours of video conferencing 5-6 days a week. I never cared about call quality, just that my team and I could hear each other. Other reviewers report that the volume is low, and I'll admit that I usually have to turn the volume up almost to the max. But I just wanted a reliable headset that I wouldn't have to change for a few years. I thought I found it in these. Two weeks ago I started getting so much hissing (crackling) that I couldn't hear the speakers very well. Tried playing around with the settings. There is no advantage. And today the right bank is out of order - there is no sound. I remained convinced that the problem was in my computer. I then tried a cheap 3.5mm aux headphone connected to my computer's USB-A port via an aux-to-usb-a adapter - problem solved. No crackling, no hissing, perfect sound. I reverted to my native USB headset. All problems are back. So the problem is in the headset. Audicom support replied within a day of contacting me and promised to replace the headset under their 1 year warranty. I hope my headset just broke and the replacement will last at least a year. I will update anyway. Amazing customer service from Audicom so far. Audicom sent me a new headset within a few days, which works great. Customer service was fast, professional and polite. I feel safe doing business with this company and would recommend it to others. ***************** ORIGINAL REVIEW ************* * ** ********** We have dozens of headsets tried ones that either failed within a few weeks or had terrible sound quality. Then we read how much better a USB headset can be. The sound quality of this USB headset is so clearer than our old 3.5mm AUX headset that we even bought another USB to 3.5mm AUX adapter for our non-working headset. Ear hollow rubberized earbud design. They're easy to sanitize (no uncomfortable porous foam), and because they sit ON your ear, you can hear yourself when you're speaking to teammates or clients. That way you don't have to yell at people. For the price we are very satisfied with this device. A note though. If you're using a Mac, you may need to go into your sound preferences (preferences) and explicitly switch to a USB connection. Our Mac didn't do this automatically like other connections have done. But even after unplugging the USB headset, the Mac smoothly navigates through other audio settings AND remembers that USB headset when you plug it back in. So set and forget.
