This is exactly what I was looking for. I use it to let my family know when I'm in remote meetings at my home office. It's perfect. I added an extension cord and an extra switch as the power cord that came with it is very short. I wanted it to be visible from outside the room but controllable from my desk. The built-in switch isn't particularly reliable either. I pulled on it too hard when hanging and threading the wires, and I had to open the switch and re-solder the connection. However, it is still the best solution available for my needs and I would buy the same again. Just be gentle with him.
