As with other pens, flow is limited compared to the original irrigator handle. actually due to an assembly tolerance error with a flow stop button. (blue button). I separate the halves of the irrigator and cut the plastic holding the flow stop button off the other half (the pencil shows a jagged tab) and snap it back together. Flow after modification is now as good as the original irrigator pen. I do not recommend anyone to do the same type of modification as it will void the warranty, it just points to the root cause of the restricted flow on this product.
