Inexpensive Polymer Clay Extruder

I use a polymer clay extruder so if you are buying it for fondant this rating may not reflect its usefulness. The price was the main criterion. if you choose this extruder. As an aspiring resin artist I don't want to invest in more expensive tools so this was a good choice on my part. Currently this extruder is sufficient for my needs and it works quite well. There are two things I dislike about this extruder. First, it comes with 20 stamped metal discs. There is a basic set of characters. You could probably use discs from other similar extruders in it. However, these discs are less durable (thinner) than I expected and one side is rougher than another where the shape was embossed rather than fully flattened. With other kits I have seen that the discs are absolutely smooth on both sides. Second, it doesn't spin as smoothly as we'd like. If you have arthritis, it can be tough on your hands. I have a feeling some sort of lube could be applied but haven't tried it yet. Clay can collect on the threads of the end cap and must be cleaned thoroughly.
