(updates below) The reviews are outstanding but for the price we didn't like this collar even more than the previous two we bought. 2) The remote control does not come with a lanyard - even when using a lanyard from another collar, the 'hole' in the lanyard is awkward - we prefer a sporting dog. 3) The biggest complaint is the slight delay in pressing the button before the collar responds. This is very important for general dog training when the timing is perfect. That doesn't make it useless in any way, but I would like the collar to respond to the remote immediately. But basically now it won't charge at all. After the collar died we didn't have a chance to recharge it which means our pup is misbehaving. We only bought it a few months ago so the 2 year warranty is still running but I don't have much hope for the next one as the bad reviews mimic a lot of my experience. But for that price I'm definitely willing to give it another try and try to justify my money! **Update** The seller contacted us immediately and we have been working on a solution. They sent a newer version of the charging collar and a new charger to try and revive the old collar. But the original remote still won't charge and the old collar still won't charge. I will contact them regarding this and update the information if necessary.**Update 08/2017**Excellent customer service. They have made every effort to replace the failed parts in the previous collar and also provide a brand new collar. Neither the old collar nor the remote control ever came to life, even with parts swapped out. The new collar and remote control are currently working perfectly. Also, the collar did not sync with the A or B buttons on the remote. Luckily, it synced with the C key. This is a downside, albeit a small one for a dog owner like us. For those who want to use multiple collars with the same remote (because of the A, B and C buttons) - be aware this may not work. We have changed the rating to 4 stars as the new collar works for our purposes. I couldn't bring myself to give it a 5 due to the collar lag mentioned above and the fact that the new collar doesn't sync with the A or B buttons, potentially causing multiple dogs to malfunction.
