The GPS cup holder mount has 3 struts that extend by turning the knurled center ring. The struts have rubberized ends that provide a snug and secure fit to the cup holder on my old F-150's dashboard. The device comes with a mounting clip that fits my Drive Smart 51 perfectly. This mounting clip is easier to attach to and detach from the GPS than the one that comes with the GPS unit, making the mounting device very convenient to use. The device is well made and stable for a plastic part. While I felt it was a bit overpriced I don't think anymore as I can see what an excellent execution of this design it is. I'm glad I bought it.
