I don't usually write review periods. I honestly had to say (not sponsored by mom or dad, not sponsored or paid for by anyone). It's been a few weeks since I use this wifi security camera. Here's what everyone should know about this product. This camera should have a good enough wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi signal. This camera does not support 5 GHz WiFi (uses 2.4 GHz). The camera is powered by an AC adapter that you plug into the wall. This is the only option for this camera. It has a micro SD card slot (max. 64GB), which does not contain a micro SD card. The setup instructions aren't even remotely helpful. Installation is not difficult if you have clear instructions, the company did not explain the installation guide. Below are the steps required to connect this camera: - Find/locate a location where the camera has access to a power outlet and has a good 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal. - Go to a PC, Laptop or Mac and install the software from ctronics.com. Download and install the software on PC or Mac. Grab your smart device and download the ctronics mobile app. Once the software is downloaded and installed, take the cable that came with it (Ethernet I assume), connect the camera to the PC or Mac, then open the software. In the software, click the plus sign. Once connected, you can configure the settings/recording schedule/motion detection. After that you can save and deactivate. Adjusting camera settings takes time to figure out. Also Pro tip: if you don't change the night vision setting from automatic to night vision (turn off night color vision), it has a bright light at night, which defeats the purpose of this camera, at least in my situation.
