Great Sound! Looks good too! TUNER SHIT! Did I tune into the local AM station tonight when dialing SW? This is my third night with this radio! I waited to review because I wanted to try it. All in all I like this radio. However, the tuner is the weakest link. I walked through 4 groups at least 4 or 5 times every night. The tuner scares me because I have the feeling that it will break soon. It "screeches" when you tune into the station. EVERY strong station seems to bleed all over the band. I started many years ago with a small AM pocket radio. I would listen to WBAP from Texas while in Chicago, Illinois. When I was in the ARMY I bought a 2002 SONY ICF and later 2 smaller portables with a tuner like Kaito. Even later I went and bought a 2010 Sony A. Now I don't have it anymore for various reasons. I bought this radio to see what is currently available on the SW band. I didn't want to spend a bunch of bucks yet because I've heard that SW reception in the US isn't the same as it was many years ago when I listened to the BBC, Radio Moscow for Laughs and VOA. Smaller radios for only $9.99 didn't impress me. So are their ratings. By the way, THIS RADIO IS NOT FOR D-XING! I figured this radio would give me an idea of what's going on in the HF band right now. I also want to tell you that the tuner will NEVER match where the station actually says on the dial. I haven't been able to set up WBAP yet. NOW WHY I LIKE THIS RADIO. 1. THE BODY IS WELL CREATED. 2. THE SPEAKER SOUNDS AMAZING. 3. FUNCTIONS ON CAMERAS "D". 4. AC POWER AND HEADPHONE PORTS ARE AVAILABLE. 5. THE LIGHT WORKS. 6. AREA SWITCH STILL WORKS WELL. 7. ANTENNA MAKES THE RECEPTION DIFFERENCE! SO I RATE IT 1 MORE BECAUSE OF THE TUNER! HESITATE TO PUT 0 BUT I WANT TO RECEIVE ATTENTION! Maybe the reason is the cheap price. This could be an ESSENTIAL radio if it wasn't for the tuner! WHICH RADIO SHOULD I LOOK AT TO GET THE BEST RADIO WITH ALL THESE FEATURES BUT THE BEST TUNER? DO I NEED TO SWITCH TO DIGITAL ASSISTANCE? And not for a million dollars too? HELP ME. someone is there Once you got to the station, HE WAS NOT DRIVING! You see, this radio has a lot to do with it! I will love hearing CUBS on their Last Year On Radio. When I wake up and remember to turn it on, I'm listening to OLD RADIO on WBBM! This radio is handy for everything except SW. I received a radio station in ENGLISH that was not religious. However, the station I tuned into was AM and even FM. For $ it's great for local radio. THE DYNAMICS ARE EXCELLENT! Forget it for SW. I experienced that! I will update over time! TIME HAS PASSED.-*-UPDATE-*- I need to buy another radio! SPECIAL… You tune into a station, turn off the radio, later you CANNOT RESET the same station! WBBM DRIFTING LIKE CRAZY! OK GO TO FM AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. AT THE TIME OF WRITTING I CANNOT SET AND SUPPORT WBBM AM OR FM CHICAGO HERE! VERY DISAPPOINTED! IT SEEMS LIKE US "TAKEN"!
