Review on πŸ”¦ Ultimate Hunting and Surveillance Gear: Bestguarder NV-900 Night Vision Goggles Binocular with Timelapse, Large Screen and 32G Memory Card by Courtney Hatcher

Revainrating 3 out of 5

OK - Not so good in binoculars

I'm a night vision fanatic/mad :) ....I've bought/owned and used dozens of NV devices over the last 30 years including thermal cameras So to To be honest I'm not that easy to impress, but an NV has to be well designed, well made and very easy to use, durable/waterproof to get an IMOI stock rating, just like the overall design concept of this digital device. The widescreen view, in particular, is what "sells" this device, as it promises an excellent field of view, as well as the ability to quickly and easily zoom in and out on interesting targets. The problem is that this good idea is being implemented. not up to date so it just doesn't work as well as you hope/expect. The zoom in/out buttons require manual refocusing of the lens after each use of the zoom button, plus the control buttons are also tucked close together and all feel the same in the dark, they should be easily distinguishable by touch which button is which - it would be plenty nicer if they had a soft/muted blue or magenta glow so you can easily look at them when needed to determine which key to press in the dark when the need arises. Of course it will increase the price but it would be worth it in my opinion, it's little details like this that make the difference between holders and crate sleepers. IR lights are another problem, just not as powerful and without attachment points to add another illuminator. Then we have a cheap eye patch that protects the screen from light when you look through it. It's poorly constructed and doesn't work properly as it's too hard to press. to use face to face without discomfort. What I really like is that it comes with a choker. it would be ridiculous to wear it without. I really like the carrying case it comes in. In addition, it is quite durable and fairly resistant to weather and water. as well as the ability to capture digital video/images. So, in general, the NV-900 is a "working" device. but it annoys me because of the economical construction, I would have liked to have implemented this idea professionally, even if it was more expensive. The end result WILL be a device that looks like it but actually makes you smile from ear to ear when you use it. YES, 900 is cool. but it's not great quality. It's just a cool NV toy, sorry to put it that way, but that's about the size. 3 stars - somewhat recommendable / good budget block
