Review on AEM 21-8202DC Gun Metal Brute Force High Performance Intake System by Brandon Woodson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Another great intake from AEM

Fitted to a 1998 Ram 1500 5.9L engine. My parents arrived the day after buying a used truck, so I checked it out and noticed that the engine liked to "whistle". ". It had a bad air box gasket, so I replaced it with a Fel-Pro gasket, but the "whistle" continued. On closer inspection, there were a few micro-cracks in the air box that were causing the noise I was hearing heard no more leaks with air filter installed AEM Turns out the previous owner was happy to use Jiffy Lube services Don't let those quick oil change shops work on your cars They always seem to mess things up Took about 30 minutes to install while you're in the Driving at a snail's pace AEM intake keeps the engine running thanks to the huge 5" filter. I've also switched to synthetic fluids (Rotella 5w-30 SUV/Truck formula. and Valvoline transmission and diffy fluids), ignition components on Changed NGK ruthenium spark plugs and NGK coil, spark plug wires NGK and I used Amsoil Power Foam to seal the throttle body, intake plenum he to clean the valves and the piston a. Due to cleaning and upgrades I don't know if any increase in horsepower or fuel economy is due to the AEM induction system.
