I wanted to love this cozy place. It's cute and it did the job well the only time I've used it. It kept my tea quite warm for hours while I kept refilling my mug from the teapot that covered it. cozy. I checked the washing instructions sewn on the comforter. Oh good - machine wash cold, spin short, tumble dry. I put it in the machine and set the "hand/delicate wash” mode in cold water. This washing machine has never been damaged, but the jacket was torn at a seam. After that I didn't dare to put it in the dryer, just air dried it. I'll attempt a clumsy repair rather than returning it because it still does its job of keeping my kettle warm. But I would recommend to others: 1) don't spill your tea on it; and 2) if you do, do not attempt to wash it other than with a very gentle hand wash. Don't trust the instructions sewn into the case!
