This product is ideal for moderately cool temperatures but not for winter temperatures if you intend to use it outdoors. We used this pillow for a stray cat who was basically living in our backyard (we are unable to accommodate her at this time) while we wait to find her a home. It worked well until the onset of winter temperatures. We order a heating pad that is powered to keep him warm in wintry temperatures. If you plan to only use this product indoors and not use electricity, this pad is perfect.
