I really needed something to keep my feral kittens warm during the winter. I live in New Jersey and it can get very cold here. I bought 2 heated K&H cat houses (amazing btw, but they only put out 20 watts of heat, which isn't enough when the temperature drops below 20 degrees in strong winds). So I decided to buy 2 heating mats for my house. Well, kittens love it and are almost never home (only during breakfast or dinner). Worth the money and investment, very happy with the purchase!

My 11 year old Labrador Retriever gets arthritis. I bought this pillow hoping it would keep him warm on our cold nights and it is. It's not the intense heat you get from a heating pad, but a constant, gentle warmth. Unfortunately it makes a squeaky noise which must have made my dog think it was a chew toy, she completely destroyed it within minutes. She's a 25-pound Blue Heeler/Husky mix, not a big dog at all, and had no problem chewing her without hesitation. I picked up small chunks of infill and a sheet of metal plastic from my yard as if it had exploded. It's probably not safe for the dog. Maybe good for a cat or an older, softer dog, but not for tough or more active dogs.

The Boston Terrier is a big baby, when he's cold he's been taking it for about a month and now doesn't shake in his sleep. He's soft, fits well in his cage, but has a habit of chewing on him when he's scared. A corner was torn and the filling fell out of the section.
