Review on 🧽 JUNO & Co. Microfiber Sponge: Dual Layer Technology for Flawless Makeup Application by Shannon Smith

Read the instructions.

After reading many reviews with low ratings I thought I should mention a few things. I recommend cleaning each sponge before first use. It eliminates the packaging odor and any stubborn dyes that have not been washed off prior to packaging. (This covers about 30% of the negative reviews) This sponge does NOT look like a beauty blender. I don't understand why people use this sponge and expect it to work like a beauty blender. Works best with liquid makeup when slightly damp. It doesn't apply product like a wet beauty blender, but creates a brush-like product. I get the best results (when using it as a base) by soaking it and then squeezing it out on a towel to keep it soft but fairly dry; first apply the product (base) to the skin with your finger and then blend it out with a sponge. This method is also great for concealer under the eyes. Another method is to use it dry to apply powder: blush, highlighter, contour powder, under-eye powder. actually any fixing powder. It won't move foundation or concealer when you apply powder with it IF YOU USE A LIGHT HAND. If you hit your face with a sponge, it won't fit or look good. I can do almost all my makeup with just this sponge. I clean it after every use, so it's very easy to clean with a soapy sponge and warm water. (This covers about 60% of the negative reviews). Finally, as long as you follow very clear cleaning instructions for your sponge, it won't break or crack. You really should clean the sponge after/before each use. Do not use anything other than soap and water for cleaning. Like the little pink silicone thing that comes with the beauty blender. Don't use it. You will tear the soft material on your sponge. The product doesn't soak into the sponge completely like a beauty blender does, so you don't have to smack the little guy to clean it up. (And that covers the last 10% of negative reviews). Hope that helps. This is a good all purpose sponge and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to BRUSHES. Just to clarify, this is not a beauty blender. Don't expect this to be one.
