Honestly, I'm skeptical about the previous review. This product comes with a two-year manufacturer's warranty, but the reviewer doesn't say whether they contacted Black & Decker for a repair or replacement. FYI I have no personal or commercial interest in Black and Decker. This review is entirely voluntary. I didn't buy this oven from Revain because I found it on another site for a lower price. If you do a search you will find that at least one site has a 4.2 star rating out of over 400 reviews. I bought this oven because I read in October 2018 that microwave ovens (which I've been using for about 40 years) destroy the nutrients in food, turning them into toxic and carcinogenic (cancer causing) substances. This oven has been used almost daily since early November - almost 2 1/2 months - and my roommate and I have noticed some interesting changes. The food tastes much better and doesn't have the slightly grainy texture of microwave dishes. . We've found that after a meal (usually a couple of frozen casseroles) we're completely satisfied, whereas we used to eat a sandwich or something else after a meal to satisfy a lingering hunger. We rarely feel the need to eat during the day, we feel better, and there is little or no postprandial discomfort. We've also seen some other positive physical changes that we're still evaluating. The microwave oven is retired. Toasters take a lot longer to cook than microwaves, but I've adjusted my schedule to start cooking, set the timer, and then do other things until the cooking is complete. Improving the taste of food and our well-being and well-being is worth it. Coincidentally, this oven has a 60 minute bake timer, while many others only have 30 or 40 minute timers. This oven is more efficient than most toasters, so read the instructions. They will tell you that the actual oven temperature is lower than the "set" temperature on the thermostat knob. Because the oven's design allows for better circulation of the heated air than other ovens, the lower temperature gives the same result as the temperature required by the recipe. I've verified that this statement is true and I've also found that I can put frozen casseroles in the oven without preheating and still cook the food in the time listed on the package and sometimes less, saving energy. used to preheat the oven. To be fair, some casseroles take a few minutes longer. The oven comes with two racks and I was able to bake four dishes on it where other ovens can only take one rack. You can also bake two 9-inch pizzas at the same time. Take your time and explore the features of this Black & Decker oven. You must be very happy with that.
