This drive is an SMR drive. I didn't know anything about SMR/CMR (Scaled Magnetic Recording/Conventional Magnetic Recording) drives until I came across a mention of slow SMR drives and this one is definitely slow. It's slow enough to cause Windows 10 to blue screen frequently. My recommendation: Only use this disk for archives. It is not suitable for Windows operating system disks. This results in timeouts that cause Windows to crash. It's a dog loading windows slowly. It makes backups very slow. Despite the item's description, it's also not suitable for NAS, especially RAID (others say it's always on display, no wonder!) and probably DVR because it's too slow to stream. ONLY use this drive if your application doesn't care if it's slow or times out.
