Review on DJI OM 4 - Portable 3-Axis Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer with Handle, ๐Ÿ“ท Tripod, Ideal for Vlogging, YouTube, Live Video, Phone Stabilizer Compatible with iPhone and Android by Davaun Pritchard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lighter than previous models, better software, slightly thinner hardware

Smaller overall than Osmo Mobile 3, 2 and 1. I'm upgrading from Osmo Mobile 2. Finished handle is more delicate. The buttons are the same, but the functions are assigned completely differently. Sleep mode (introduced in Mobile 3) is a cool improvement. The gesture control is very precise. I looked like a Japanese schoolgirl when I did this, but it was effective and I started tracking my face a second or two after I made the gesture, including a three-second delay to start recording . The Mimo app is definitely better than "DJI". GO 4". Mimo connects directly to the iPhone's Photos app, so you don't have to use the app to access your photos/videos. There are two things that stop me from giving five stars: 1 Ironically, the magnetic clip The major downside to the new model is that being able to attach heavier phones to the gimbal comes at a cost - it's noticeably less secure than previous models. If you have a case, your phone will fall off the magnetic clip (the that you attach to the gimbal) with an intentional push or This is why DJI offers magnets that you can attach to your phone without a case, I haven't used them but I'm sure that's why they offer both options. I also had some trouble slewing an active target Active target tracking requires excellent lighting and not too fast subject and operator movements, like previous models, si goes e easily lost in poor lighting.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Doesn't fit everything
