I really like these. classic cylindrical idlers. And twisting "hands" from wire is easier than cutting. Still a bit uncomfortable to sleep with, but better than the great classics in my opinion. My hair is about 3-3.5 feet long. I used a lot of mousse before styling my hair and slept with a loose handkerchief on my head to keep the pillow rolls from unraveling when I moved in my sleep. Wires stick out of the cases if you're not careful, but for the price I paid I don't mind. You can just put them back in and sew them back on. (The ends of the wire will be bent by themselves (long hair is ok (-:
