Bought this lens last April used in good condition. I also currently have a 60d hull and a 70-200 f2.8 with USM. I plan to buy a 6d case when it's convenient to step out of the mid-range case. When I bought this wide-angle lens, I expected to be blown away by the sharpness of a telephoto lens. To be honest I'm not impressed with this wide angle lens. I found it heavy, bulky and not at all discreet. I prefer to use the telephoto lens more often because of the fast shutter speed, great low-light performance, and amazing sharpness. I never miss it when I use it. But this lens isn't practical because I'm taking honest street photos and I don't need to look obnoxious while compromising the integrity of the photo. In the next few months I will be studying at a photojournalism school. I need a wide angle that I'm happy with. I'm looking at the 16-35 because it's a bit smaller and easier to transport. Or maybe if I buy a 6d and replace my mid-range case will that solve my 24-70 problems? Maybe if I post a newer version of 24-70 the problem will be solved? All in all I'm not sure what to do other than buying a fixed lens (which isn't a viable option) and hope I don't have one. Be content with what I have now. For the most part, I'm writing here hoping to get feedback or thoughts from others who may have had similar issues.
