So I arrived at the BMW dealer looking forward to driving my 2022 X3 M40i. The only problem is that BMW didn't design this car for a standard front panel, which is required in my state. I did NOT drill 6 holes in my freezer, nor will I drill 2 to 4 holes in my new bumper. The dealer recommended a DEWHEL front bumper tow hook with a bolt-on license plate bracket. It's nicely made, screws on pretty well, but even when fully extended it's about 2cm shorter so can't help it! I sent it back but if it fits your car it's well made and great value! BMW did NOT drop the ball here Dewhel.
