I love grilling but hate knowing exactly when something is done like chicken thighs. This will solve your problem. Simply stick it into the thickest part of the chicken and it immediately registers its core temperature. I blame the manufacturer for not providing a list of desired internal temperatures on the back of the device or in the thermometer box. You can find a chart online, but who has the time when you get to this thermometer. It turns on and off really instantly, and it only takes a second to register the temperature of the meat. Thanks to the sharp tip, you can simply insert it and switch on the device. I prefer to turn it on then off to save battery life. I also think it's a little expensive.
