Review on OneOdio Computer Headsets Microphone Line by Josh Jeffries

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Superb budget headset

Superb headset in this price range. This rating is based on price, not comparing it to high-end hardware. Sound: even sound stage. There are different views on this, but I've found that it gets better after a few hours when it's burned. No heavy bass. Ideal for phone calls and video conferences. The microphone is clear and doesn't require 100% gain to pick up your voice. It's 32 ohms, so it's loud enough on basic hardware and doesn't necessarily need a DAC to get decent listening volume. Workmanship/Comfort: This headset is, if not the most comfortable headset I have ever had. It is very light, has generous padding and a medium to light down print. I wear it for many hours with no problems. It is definitely designed for small to medium sized heads. I had to expand it to about half of its full extent. I usually only have to adjust a few clicks on each page. All controls work as expected. The headset's headset is fairly solid but feels cheap out of the box. This is most likely due to the fact that it is lightweight. I'm used to heavier gear. Good stuff again. What I'd like to see: One thing I'd really like to have is braided line. The line fits, but I prefer the feel and durability that a braided line gives. This isn't OneOdio's flagship product, but other kits in this price range include a braided cord. Either way, this is a great budget headset. It does the job.
