I have received several compliments on my mug. As a chemist, I was surprised to find so many equations related to chemistry and physics. So not just for mathematicians! It's great for physicists and chemists. It's a funny shaped mug though. Short and wide. I think it holds 11 ounces (regular mugs hold 12 ounces? - so maybe a little less volume). The handle is also a bit strange. It's not very wide, so I only stick two of my (ladies') fingers inside, while I usually use three fingers on the handle of the mug, so some people might not feel comfortable holding it. I've had him for several months now. not a single chip now, so no complaints about the material, although I haven't tried knocking it on the sink yet. And for those who never clean their coffee mugs, the great thing about a black mug is that it doesn't show what you drank the previous day. And there are definitely a few professors with ugly brown and white mugs. UPDATE 14.08. About two years after I bought this mug, I dropped it on the floor and it broke. So I immediately bought a new one (not a white mug with brown spots for me) and it's a little different. The old mug had a clear glaze all over the mug, so it was glossy black. The one I just received doesn't have it, it's more of a matte grey/black which I think could be done to make it look more chalkboard like. Remarkably, the equations are now the top level of the circle. I only hand wash my mug since I just let it do the work, but after seeing this I was worried that the equations might wear out if you use the dishwasher (but I can't say for sure, since I never put them in the dishwasher). . ). It still has that fancy grip I mentioned at the beginning.
