Absolutely horrible Most paints/base coats have two main ingredients - ethyl acetate and butyl acetate. on your nails. Some people do well with ethyl acetate, others do better with butyl acetate. I'm later and I should have known better before I bought this. Companies that use ethyl acetate as the main ingredient have never done me any good, but I bought this top coat anyway. Essie Base Coat doesn't hold my manicure at all. Nail polish that lasts 5-7 days without a base coat will chip within a day. My nail plate has become rough and flaky, my nails are starting to peel, and I don't see any protection from discolouration. Very bad! If you are curious about the main ingredient in the most popular nail polishes: Ethyl Acetate - OPI, Essie, Sally Hansen, Ulta Beauty, Revlon, ELF Butyl Acetate - Zoya, Butter London, ORLY, Pacifica, CND, Chanel, Dior, Deborah Lippmann, SinfulColors, H&M. Remember that polishes are not created equal, they will not all be the same. Durability, but one group will outperform the other on most people's nails.
