Chemical odor - not recommended
Purchased for use in a pair of Dietz flashlights. I use lanterns indoors and wanted something unscented. I've been using this oil in my flashlights for about a month and every time I light them I notice an unpleasant chemical smell. When burning I keep the wick low, just below the wick body to prevent smoke and soot from building up. Side oil burns clean, but the chemical odor is very noticeable and makes it uncomfortable to use. ***Update - I just noticed some of that lamp oil got on the table and damaged the wood and finish.
